I have worked in the IT corporate space for 20 years within the learning and development environment whether it be computer or infrastructure or providing advice and mentoring for professional development with people from all parts of the organisation. I have ITIL Certification and understand what happens in the IT teams around attitude, communication and customer service, and how siloed the IT teams can be. In the past year I have worked with many individuals, teams and management, around New Zealand, to help then uncover their Strengths and in built talents, and how they can work more effectively in their roles and team.
Communication is the key to successful outcomes for projects within business. I am sure we will all agree with this statement. When it works, it is fantastic, when it doesn’t, the wheels can fall off the trolley and it can mean penalty payments, projects over-running, knowledge bases out of date, repetition of errors that need to be eliminated, reactive workflows instead of proactive workflows and an increase in frustration amongst the team.
