Agile isn't the goal - how to recognise what's going wrong

Wednesday 11:00am - 11:30am, Agile Day (Room 2 (Assurity))

These days it seems like everyone is implementing Agile or trying DevOps, creating squads and tribes or being SAFe. These ideas are all great, but they are only a means to an end, not the end itself. How do you know if what you're seeing should be expected? It's tough for organisations, large ones in particular, to recognise what they need to do to get the most out of being agile.
Not a talking head!
This interactive session will help you recognise what symptoms you're experiencing (or should look out for), what that indicates about your situation, and more importantly, learn 8 things you can do about it.

Speaker

CeeDee Doyle

Agile Consultant, Assurity

Ceedee Doyle is an Agile Consultant with 17 years experience in IT.  After 8 years as a PM/BA managing projects as diverse as early childhood funding for MoE and Investment Governance for Public Trust, she spent 5 years as an independent contractor. Having successfully completed many fully agile projects she can now confirm that it’s not just a myth, you can do things differently at work.  Ceedee moved into a coaching role at Assurity in Wellington in 2013 and works with teams to improve what they do, helping businesses get value by using Agile techniques.
In her spare time she likes to cook firey food, play board games and hit large pieces of stone with axes and chisels.
