Emotion – “The instinctive or intuitive feeling as distinguished from reasoning or knowledge” is the result of our individual upbringings, experiences and physiological construct.
In this talk, we explore how our individual emotions, preconceptions and intuitions are impediments in our quest to transform into high performing teams. Applying an “unemotional” approach to Agile is to truly understand the distinction between emotions and emotional intelligence that include the likes of empathy, humility and tone. While the first obscures opportunities for growth, the latter is a lever for impactful continuous improvement and coaching. The speaker will dig into how stepping away from an emotional approach to growth and further into one that is evidence-based has a considerable impact on team and stakeholder relationships and team performance.
